Unless I'm crazy, and Music Tribe actually put out an update that changes this, but both my iPad app and console still function in this manner. If I only want AES50A Inputs 3, 4, and 5, I can put them on any channel in the desk, but I cannot only take 3 inputs from the digital snake alone. I can then place AES50A Inputs 1-8 wherever I want in the console through softpatching. That is to say, if I want inputs 3, 4, and 5 from an S16 Stagebox, I need to take the first 8 inputs from that Stagebox. To populate the 32 inputs available on the console, you need to choose from those blocks of 8. There are five columns, Inputs 1-8, Inputs 9-16, Inputs 17-24, Inputs 25-32, and Aux In Remap. However, in the routing page, under the "Home" Channel Processing Block Patch, you still select your inputs in groups of 8. Yes, you can change each channels source to be whatever you want, not in groups of 8, and not in a 1 to 1 configuration.
